Operating from the heart of the picturesque Somerset village of Evercreech since the end of the nineteenth century we believe that our dairy heritage is second to none and we are particularly proud to be able to use West Country Milk, sourced from over 200 specially selected farms, in the vast majority of our products.

For the past 40 years we have used our dairy processing expertise to work hand in hand with customer Marks & Spencer to create a host of market leading desserts ranging from clotted cream rice pudding to champagne and raspberry terrine.

However, traditional certainly doesn't mean dull. We are always striving to deliver new and exciting products, just like our stunning range of shot desserts that won the coveted 'Innovation of the Year' category at the 2010 Marks & Spencer Food to Go supplier awards.

Whilst many of our processes are automated to ensure we can produce our core products in the most cost effective way, the majority of our desserts are lovingly hand finished by our highly skilled production team to ensure the personal touch.

The Prestleigh Road site has been home to the Evercreech dairy since it began life in October 1891 as ‘Batts Farm’ producing cream and butter.

It continued to be operated as a milk processing plant well into the new century enjoying significant investment to accommodate a growing order book.

By the 1920’s the site had added Clotted Cream and Cheese to its product range, followed some years later by the introduction of milk powder which necessitated yet further investment on modern cooled air store facilities.

Over subsequent years the Evercreech site has enjoyed a number of owners, including Cow & Gate, before being acquired by Unigate plc in 1970.

The business continued to expand under the stewardship of Unigate and the site turned its hand to manufacturing all manner of foods including cream cakes, soups, dips and pizza during the 1980’s.

However, desserts have proved to be Evercreech’s real heartland and through continued commitment to investment and innovation it has earned itself a reputation that is envied across the desserts manufacturing sector. Greencore acquired Uniq Plc in September 2011.
