On Sunday 12 Oct a team of 7 from Greencore Northampton participated along with 16,000 keen runners, in the London Royal Parks Half Marathon. The beautiful, scenic route started in Hyde Park and took in the capitals icons: Buckingham Palace, House of Parliament, London Eye, Westminster Bridge, The Mall concluding with a spectacular finish in Hyde Park.
The team were keen to demonstrate the Greencore Way (keeping people healthy and safe) wearing bespoke running vests emblazoned with the Team Name ‘Way to Go’ on the front and the individual’s name on the back. Everyone successfully completed the 13 mile course – elated and in one piece! The sense of engagement and excitement pre and post race was truly remarkable and memorable.
With M&S as a key sponsor of the event, Greencore Northampton supplied the sandwiches for the hard working volunteers who dedicate their time and effort to ensure the continued success of this iconic race.
