One of our customer teams in our Grocery division is delighted at the news that one of their products has been shortlisted for an award. The product that has got the judges taste buds going is the Free From Salad Cream. The product was launched in February 2016 was developed for this growing market and is free from dairy, egg & gluten.
The Free From Food Awards has published the shortlist for their 2017 10th Anniversary Awards.
‘The standard of the entries just keeps on getting better. Indeed, so good are they now that ‘free from’ foods are often the first choice for foodies who, a few years ago, would not have given them the time of day!’, Says awards director, Michelle Berriedale-Johnson:
The Free From Food Awards, now in their 10th successful year, are the industry’s only award for ‘free from food’ – gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, soya-free etc.
Free From Food Awards judges included professional foodies (manufacturers, chefs and cookery writers), medics (dietitians and nutritionists) coeliac and allergy sufferers, free from bloggers and a good sprinkling of ‘outsiders’ to benchmark the products against ‘normal’, non-free from equivalents.
