As part of our commitment to sustainability we work hard at Greencore to ensure that no good food goes to waste – particularly when it can do so much good in our local communities.
Our team in Northampton has worked closely with The Bread and Butter Thing, a charity that aims to make life more affordable for people on a low income, builds stronger communities and reduces food waste using an innovative and self-sustaining approach to the redistribution of surplus food and non-food items.
Most recently the team donated more than 7,100kg of good surplus food, which is the equivalent the equivalent of 18,000 meals to those in need.
