As part of our commitment to working with local communities, Greencore Grocery in Selby made donations to the Barlby Bridge Primary School which is located less than 5 minutes from the site.
The Friends of Barlby Bridge School are a small group of parents who raise money for the benefit of all the children attending the small school. Barlby Bridge School serves families from the Barlby and Selby community, the small class sizes are very nice but they also offer many challenges when trying to fundraise for the school.
Their on-going fundraising is for the children in the years three to six to attend Selby Leisure Centre for a ten week swimming tuition course, so all children should be able to leave the school able to swim confidently.
Greencore donated gifts of chocolate, cakes and wine to support a fabulous raffle and tombola gifts for their Christmas Craft Fair, raising a grand total of £400.00. The atmosphere on the day was extremely positive and children got the opportunity to meet Santa himself!
