We are incredibly proud to learn that Steven Westwood, Engineering Controller at our manufacturing site in Bow, has been recognised with The Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal, which is a commemorative medal created to mark the seventieth anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the throne.
In the UK, the medal is being awarded to people who work in public service, including the Armed Forces, the emergency services, and the prison services. In Steven’s case, he has served as a community first responder with the South Coast Ambulance Service for the last nine years, where he is called upon by the 999 control desk to attend and administer life saving first aid at critical incidents in the local community.
In addition to the Platinum Jubilee Medal, Steven was awarded the Covid Commemorative Coin from South Coast Ambulance Service in recognition of his work during the pandemic.
