Meat Business Women has announced a new two-year strategic partnership with Greencore to advance gender balance and inclusion across the meat and wider food industry.
Greencore’s decision to partner with Meat Business Women follows the organisation becoming a Founding Signatory on The Food Business Charter, which demonstrates an ambition for the food industry to reach 40% female representation by 2035.
Dalton Philips, CEO at Greencore, said: “We are committed to building a team where women have equal opportunities to lead, innovate, and shape the future of our business. Success comes from having the smartest and most capable people in the room, and the broader the talent pool we draw from, the stronger we become. Our industry thrives on creativity and collaboration, and that means ensuring every voice is heard. Our commitment to The Food Business Charter is another step along our journey to make meaningful progress on representation.”
Attracting more women into the food industry is a key focus for Greencore, and through this partnership, the company will have access to insights and initiatives designed to support talent acquisition. By positioning the sector as an attractive and inclusive career choice, Greencore is committed to broadening its talent pipeline and engaging future female leaders.
Retention is equally critical, and this collaboration will ensure that women at Greencore have access to the right networks, role models, and learning opportunities to support their long-term career growth. With targeted development initiatives and a culture that fosters progression, Greencore aims to create an environment where women can thrive and build rewarding careers in the food industry.
“Greencore join the Meat Business Women family at an extremely exciting time of growth. We are leading the conversation on gender balance and providing practical solutions to partners. We are delighted to have Greencore on board and to be working with their team” said Laura Ryan, Founder and Global Chair of Meat Business Women.
As part of the partnership, Greencore employees will receive access to career-enhancing resources, such as global mentoring, monthly development masterclasses, global networking and industry events, ensuring that their personal development and career development continues to be a priority.
