Last week Greencore Prepared Meals in Bristol welcomed pupils from Colston’s Girl’s School to the site.
The GCSE and A Level Food Technology students enjoyed a product lunch, took part in a ‘Red Sauce, White Sauce’ master class with two of our Development Chefs, had a tour of the production area and competed in groups to design and make the best red sauce in a ‘Ready Steady Cook!’ style competition.
The sauces were judged by the Site General Manager and one of our Development Chefs.
This is the second year that we have held this event and the link between the school and the business really gives young people the opportunity to experience some of the great roles the food industry has to offer, and gives us the opportunity to give something back to our local community.
