Colleagues at our Selby site were recognised on Friday, last week, for successfully completing a project ahead of time – in fact 6 weeks ahead of plan. Senior leaders at the site recognised the exceptional effort that went into achieving these results and marked it with a celebration event for everyone.
A BBQ was organised for all our site colleagues. The Striped Pig Co brought along their vintage Rice Badminton Horse Box trailer and served colleagues with a choice of Angus Beef Burgers, Pulled Pork, Wild Boar Sausages or Chick Pea Stew. Local Ice Cream company Doubtfire’s served their refreshing 99 ice creams.
Health and Wellbeing was also on the agenda – a stall was set up where we gave out freebies including sun cream, moisturisers and lip balms along with various wellbeing leaflets.
Age UK Selby District, one of the site’s chosen charities for this year, came along to provide the team with more information on what the charity is all about and how it helps the local community.
Luckily the sun came out for most of the day and a great time was had by all who were able to attend.
