Last week was a great week for getting involved in the local community at Greencore Prepared Meals in Kiveton. On the 21st June site colleagues visited a secondary school in Sheffield as part of the Feeding Britain’s Future programme. The aim of the visit was to chat to students about all of the career opportunities available in the food manufacturing industry and give them a taster of what life is like working at Greencore.
The following day a team went out to a local primary school in Creswell to help them build a new Sensory Garden for the children to enjoy. This initiative was suggested by a current employee at Kiveton who has personal ties to the school and it was decided that a team should go out into the community and lend a hand. The school greatly appreciated the time spent there and we are hoping to send another group out soon to complete the garden for all of the children to enjoy.
