Our Food to Go team in Northampton was delighted to present a cheque for more than £1,600 to the Gosset Ward at Northampton General Hospital. The money, which was raised by colleagues at their annual family fun day, will go towards purchasing a new Nasal Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machine for the ward.
A CPAP machine pumps air, through a non-invasive tube inserted into the babies nose, and gives a gentle blow through their noses which keeps the babies lungs open so that they can breathe more effectively.
