A huge thank you to all of our colleagues who supported our fund-raising activity in connection with the World Day for Cultural Diversity by purchasing our very own Great Food Colleague Cook Book and bespoke wooden spoons.
The cook book, which contains 63 recipes and stories from colleagues throughout Greencore shows the diversity of our organisation and at the same time celebrates our great food culture.
The money raised will enable Shelter to help families in the UK that are facing homelessness.
Commenting on this donation Livvy Ellison of Shelter said;
“2020 was a year of unbelievable difficulty for many people. The impact of the pandemic means that many people are facing homelessness for the first time; one in six people in Yorkshire and the Humber regularly have to cut spending on household essentials like food or heating to pay the rent or their mortgage. Shelter is working hard to help those who are worst affected – but as growing numbers of people need our support, we need the support of the public. That’s why Greencore supporting us means so much to Shelter. The money raised will help us to give hope and support to those who need us. Thank you to all the employees at Greencore; you are making a real difference to the people and families facing homelessness.”
