Greencore has committed to sourcing 100% of its eggs, cage-free by 2025.
Head of Sustainability Andy Wright said: “A key element of our sustainability strategy focuses on sourcing with integrity. As part of this important work, I am delighted we have been able to make this commitment to source 100% cage-free eggs by 2025.
“We have already made significant progress and currently source 78% of our processed eggs from cage-free sources. We have plans to increase this percentage year-on-year over the next four years.
“We will continue to work with our customers, suppliers and the broader industry to ensure we deliver on this commitment.”
