Over the past 12 months, Greencore Grocery in Hull has worked closely with the local community on many initiatives to support the region, including the Mission Christmas: Cash for Kids scheme run by local radio station Viking FM.
1 in 3 children are living in poverty in our area, which is why Viking FM Cash for Kids has launched Mission Christmas. They are asking for people to buy an extra present this year that will be given to a disadvantaged local child to make their Christmas morning special. They are looking for new and unwrapped gifts suitable for children and young people aged 0-18 years.
Our team in Hull decided to create a drop-off point here at the site for its employees to donate gifts to this cause and the response has been overwhelming.
Greencore is proud to be playing a part in this initiative and in making a huge difference and putting a smile on the faces of many children this Christmas.
