During a recent colleague forum at our Northampton facility, team members expressed a wish to do more for the local community. This is where the idea to ask for volunteers to litter pick around the estate where the site is located came up.
We bought the equipment and a group of operators from the factory spent the last 2 hours of their shift picking litter out in the sun.
Its was great for the neighbourhood, with people slowing down in the cars and shouting ‘thank you’ to the volunteers, who all felt good about working with different colleagues and having a positive impact on the local community.
