Colleagues from Greencore Grocery in Selby were invited to Selby High School last week to attend a careers event hosted by Nybep.
The purpose of the day was to carry out mock interviews with year 10 (age 14-15) in order to give the learners first hand experience of a 1-2-1 interview, speaking about themselves and their skills in a formal situation. To increase students’ confidence in speaking about themselves and their skills, the realistic mock interview situation would help prepare them for life after school and provide immediate feedback from people in industry.
