Greencore Selby was recently represented at a schools event hosted by Selby Big Local and delivered by nybep.
Along with 12 other local organisations, Greencore delivered an interactive workshop designed to give Year 6 pupils an insight into the food industry.
The Greencore workshop, called “The Big Sauce Challenge” was developed and delivered by a Site Trainer from our Selby facility.
The students were split into groups of four and were tasked with creating a brand new cooking sauce concept and detailed label design.
The students were very enthusiastic and created some fantastic concepts.
Our Trainer also attended a follow up session at one of the schools, including a question and answer session with the business representatives in the room.
Greencore was delighted to have the opportunity to connect with local schools and to utilise our experience to help them gain a greater insight into the food industry.
